Beginning the class

• Hello or Hi. Good morning, good afternoon = Hola, Buenos días o buenas tardes.
• Take off your jackets, please = Quitaos los abrigos, por favor.
• Close the door, please = Cerrad la puerta, por favor.
• Write the date on the board, please= Escribe la fecha en la pizarra
• Take out your books, please = sacad los libros
• Share your book with Laura, please = Comparte tu libro con Laura
• Which exercise are we doing ? Qué ejercicio estamos hacienda
• Exercise one at the top of page three = Ejercicio 1 al principio de la página 3
• Activity two at the bottom of the page = Actividad 2 al final de la página.
• Work in pairs, work in groups of three = Trabajad en pareja o en grupos de tres.
• Work on your own = Trabajad solos.
• Have you done your homework? = Habéis hecho los deberes ?
• Juan isn´t here today, he is not well = Juan no ha venido hoy, no está bien.
• Have you got a pencil? Can I borrow your rubber? = Tienes un lápiz? Me puedes prestar la goma?
• Ready? Let´s Start. = Listos? Empecemos
• Just a moment. Wait a minute. Hold on a second. = Esperad un momento ( tres formas)


Classroom materials

• A sheet of paper. Has everyone got a sheet of paper? = Tenéis un folio ?
• Put your textbooks in your schoolbags. = Poned los libros en las mochilas.
• Help me stick this poster on the wall = Ayúdame a poner este poster en la pared.
• Do you need a dictionary? = Necesitas un diccionario.
• Hang the calendar next to the door = Cuelga el almanaque junto a la puerta.
• The chalk is finished = Se ha terminado la tiza. No hay tiza.
• Has anyone seen my pair of scissors? = Ha visto alguien las Tijeras?
• The pots of paint are empty = Los botes de pintura están vacíos.
• There is a rubber on the floor = Hay una goma en el suelo
• Pass the glue, please = Pasa el pegamento, por favor
• Careful, there is a tack on the floor = Cuidado, hay una chincheta en el suelo
• Don´t touch the staple = No toques la grapadora
• A ruler = una regla
• Clean the table with the cloth = Limpia la mesa con un paño




Giving instructions and asking for information

• Could you repeat that, please? = Puedes repetir eso, por favour?
• First listen and then repeat = Primero escucha y después repite.
• Give me some more examples = Dame algunos ejemplos más.
• Do you understand = Entendéis?
• Read the first sentence = Lee la primera frase.
• Keep going or go on = sigue
• Can you speak louder? = Puedes hablar más alto?
• What does this word mean? = Qué significa esta palabra?
• Can you spell in, please? = Puedes deletrearla?
• Can you write it on the board, please? = Puedes escribirlo en la pizarra, por favor?
• I´m sorry I don´t understand = Lo siento, no comprendo
• What page are we on ? = En qué página estamos?
